Black Hole

Black Hole is made in collaboration with astrophysicist Jo Verwohlt. It was part of our exhibition Interference in Nikolaj Kunsthal February-May 2023

A black hole is a fascinating phenomenon in astrophysics. It forms as an intensely gravitational region in spacetime, where even light and electromagnetic waves cannot escape. The event horizon marks the boundary of no return in this extraordinary cosmic entity.

Black Hole is an extraordinary immersive art installation that uses bent and shaped mirrors to transport you into a fuzzy infinity room. As you enter the artwork, you find yourself navigating through a small labyrinth. Once you reach the center, you are surrounded by mirrors positioned in every direction, distorting your perception and seemingly erasing any means of exit.
